The Ability Resource Centre is an amazing site to support. They offer a free pickup service for all bottles, cans, and other “return for deposit” containers and email a tax receipt. Simple! I am delighted to state that over the past few years that I have been in contact with them, all of the staff are warm, helpful, and respectful, in addition to being dependable. They have created an easy way to donate my containers to a worthy organization!
I have used the Ability Residential Pickup Service multiple times. It is easy to arrange and very convenient. No more loading my bottles and cans into my vehicle, unloading them, and waiting in line to return them. I just arrange a pickup date online, and I receive my refund through e-transfer.
I would highly recommend this service!
We’re retired people, and we like to host our friends. It’s a big task to haul bottles all the way to the depot, so we certainly appreciate this service. The other benefit to this is that we get to meet the people Ability supports, and we know our donation is going to a good cause. It’s a win-win.

Bring your beverage containers to either depot during business hours, have your containers sorted and counted on the spot, and walk out with your cash refund.
Your group schedules a date with the depot, collects containers and drops them off at the appointed time. Containers are sorted and counted, and your refund cheque is mailed to your organization.
Consider renting our event trailer to make recycling convenient at your event as well!
Your group sets up an account with the depot, and your members and supporters bring in their containers at their convenience. They indicate that the refund is to be donated to your organization, and the amount is credited to your account. Cheques are then mailed to your organization monthly.
Regularly scheduled pick-ups from your business make recycling convenient. Refunds are mailed directly to your business.
Save yourself a trip to the depot and let us pick up your bottles! Cheque refunds will be issued within 7 business days. E-transfer refunds will be issued within 2 business days.
