Ability Employment accepts referrals from:


  • Individuals wanting to access our services
  • Guardians, family members, or support workers of people wanting to access our services

Our services are highly individualized to meet your needs. We look forward to helping you develop your personalized career pathway! 

Once you are deemed eligible for services, we will help you create a support plan that aligns with your skills, abilities and goals for employment.  We will use this plan as a guide to help you:


Identify your skills, interests and abilities

Search for positions that match your talents

 Complete online job applications, resumes and cover letters

Prepare for interviews

Create tools for success through on-the-job support

Continue learning through skill-building workshops

The following services MAY also be available to you:

Volunteer Placements

 to gain meaningful experiences while developing transferrable skills (i.e. leadership, communication, customer service)

Job Shadows

to watch workers in real-world settings so you can understand specific jobs and workplace expectations

Workplace Simulations

to gain confidence and hands-on experience in a safe environment by practicing the tasks and skills that would be required on the job (i.e. cashier, customer service)

Group-based Education

to participate in a four-session interview preparation club with other peers who want to improve their skills and impress their next potential employer!
